Retrofitting A Solar Battery & Adding A New Inverter
With existing solar panels installed, you are already aware of the benefits of generating clean, renewable energy.
You could even go one step further by adding a battery storage system providing renewable electricity both during the day and at night.
You’ll also have peace of mind knowing that you have a back up system in place.
What’s more, with the increasing cost of energy, retrofitting a storage battery to your existing system could also be financially beneficial.

And, as of February 1, 2024, the Government has declared 0% VAT when adding a battery to an existing Solar PV System, providing even more savings.
Upgrade Your Inverter
The most hardest working part of a solar PV system is the inverter. The inverter ensures that the solar panels produce as much electricity from the suns rays as possible by converting DC to AC electricity and its the most likely component to reduce in performance or even fail after years of use.
By upgrading to a more efficient inverter, you can expect an increase in your solar energy being converted. And even with single digit percentage increases, this can significantly improve the output. In the last few years, improvements in inverter efficiency increased from around 92% to 97%.
